Florence Francis, UNICOI

Florence Francis, age 93, of Unicoi, TN, passed away Friday, April 18, 2014, at the Center on Aging and Health, Erwin, TN, following a brief illness.
A native of Buladean, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Andy David and Martha Emaline Berry Clark. She was a homemaker, and loved to do farm work. She had previously attended Limestone Cove United Methodist Church, but had recently been attending the Christian Church.
She was a wonderful gardener, and will be missed by all of her family. She was a loving Aunt, Sister and neighbor.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Francis was preceded in death by her husband, John Francis, in October of 1975; three sisters, Earlene Edwards, Ethel Butler, Euvada Moffitt; one brother, Floyd Clark; several nieces and nephews.
Survivors include two sisters, Ella Riddle and Mary Ingrahm, both of Unicoi; one brother Andrew Clark, Unicoi; several nieces and nephews, including two special nephews, Floyd and Arthur Hopson.
The funeral service for Mrs. Francis will be conducted at 6:00 P.M. Saturday, April 19, 2014, in the East Parlor of Appalachian Funeral Home with Rev. Dallas Gregg officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 until 6:00 in the East Parlor of the funeral home, or other times at the home of her sister, Ella Riddle, Unicoi.
The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 20, in Bell Cemetery, Unicoi. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 2:50 P.M. Sunday. Active pallbearers will be Alvin Moffitt, Brad Moffitt, Kyle Clark, David Wanamaker, Justin Gouge and Cody Pyron. Honorary pallbearers will be Floyd Hopson, Arthur Hopson, Bennett Gouge, Mack Sneyd, Kenneth Roberts and Kyle Hyder.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and caregivers of the Center on Aging and Health of Erwin.
