Ruby Carder, JOHNSON CITY

Ruby E. Carder, age 91, of Johnson City, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, at the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness.
A lifelong native of Johnson City, she was a daughter of the late Dave Nelson and Julia Whitaker Carder. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Ms. Carder retired from Klopman Mills, where she had worked for over 40 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Bob Kinsinger; 8 siblings, Mary Kate Chatman, Grace Grindstaff, Juanita Ervin, Allen Carden, Ethel Royston, Josie Rader, Edna Carder and John Thomas Carder.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews, including one special nephew, Joe Carder, Johnson City.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Monte Vista Memorial Park with Dr. Orea Jones Wells officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 16, from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the West Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
