Allen Nave, EUGENE, Ore.

Allen Nave, 78, of Eugene, Oregon, passed away Saturday April 5, 2014, of complications from a recent stroke.
A native of Dexter, Oregon, he was born October 7, 1935, to the late James Daniel and Laura Emma Stalcup Nave, former residents of Johnson County. Allen was a grandson of the late Daniel C. and Tishia Robinson Nave and Stacy C. & Alice Arney Stalcup.
He graduated from the Lowell High School class of 1953 and attended the University of Oregon. He retired as a Clerk from the Southern Pacific Railroad after 39 years of service. He was a member and deacon of the Riviera Baptist Church in Eugene.
He loved to travel and had visited all 50 states. Allen was an avid fan of University of Oregon “Ducks.” His last football game was in September 2013 when Tennessee played the University of Oregon.
Survivors include his wife: Shirley Gullickson Hamper Nave; His Sons: Mark Hamper, Lakewood, Washington, and Greg Hamper and his wife, Dawn, Kelso, Washington; Two Brothers: Floyd Nave and wife Tonya, Tigard, Oregon, and Gary Nave and wife, Jody, Hubbard, Oregon; 3 grandchildren; a great grandson to be born soon; several nieces & nephews. Also surviving are several cousins in Johnson and Carter Counties.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 12 Noon, Saturday, April 12, 2014, in the Riviera Baptist Church, Eugene, Oregon.
Interment will follow in West Lawn Cemetery in Eugene.
The family requests that remembrances be made to the Riviera Baptist Church, PO Box 40248, Eugene, OR 97404 in lieu of flowers.
