John Raymond Milhorn Jr., PINEY FLATS

John Raymond Milhorn Jr., age 80, of Piney Flats, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at the Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born in Sullivan County, TN, a son of the late John Raymond “Bud” and Vasta Geisler Milhorn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Gouge Milhorn; and a brother, Wade Milhorn.
Mr. Milhorn was a farmer and a member of Walkers Mountain Baptist Church.
He loved to talk to his friends on the telephone.
He is survived by a daughter; 2 grandchildren; a brother, Marshall Milhorn and wife, Ruth, of Piney Flats; sisters-in-law, Jeanie Milhorn and Vicky Gouge; and special friends, Arnold Shipley and Scotty Shipley. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Milhorn will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Bluff City, with Pastor Greg Lovelace officiating. Music will be under the direction of Michael Shipley.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 6:45 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, in New Bethel Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. on Thursday.
