Glen Fowler, CONWAY, Ark.

Glen Preston Fowler, 79, of Conway, AR, formerly of Roland, OK, went to be with The Lord on Sunday April 6, 2014.
He was born August 26, 1934 in Fort Smith, AR to the late Arless P. and Margaret E. Schleiff Fowler. He was an exceptionally loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a Refrigeration Engineer for General Electric in Fort Smith and Southland Corporation in Dallas, TX. He was a member of Goddard United Methodist Church in Fort Smith and a veteran of the United States Army.
Glen married his partner in life Thanksgiving week of November 25, 1956. He and Nancy would travel to many places throughout the US and Mexico during their lives. They raised two wonderful and loving sons, Mark and Todd, who would be his pride and joy in life. The other role that he loved and treasured was that of Poppa Glen, the title all of the Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren lovingly called him. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Nancy J. Rose Fowler.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith, AR with Pastor Steve Wingo officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Glen is survived by his loving and ever caring sons Mark P. Fowler and wife Cindy Long-Fowler of Mayflower, AR and Dr. Todd A. Fowler and wife, Sally Tillman-Fowler of Johnson City, TN, his sister-in-law Lynda Kay Rose-Goff of Roland, OK, grandchildren Cortney Fowler Davis and husband Danny Davis, Sarah Fowler Mateo and husband Josh Mateo, Emily Fowler and Briley Brown all of the Dallas area, Sarah-Catherine Fowler, Edward Fowler, Preston Fowler and Elizabeth-Ann Fowler all of Johnson City, TN, Mindi French and husband Lyle French of Fort Worth, TX and Shannon Greenhaw and husband Chris Greenhaw of Mayflower, AR and Ashley Williford and husband Tony Williford of Conway, AR, nephews Kevin and Kyle Goff, two great nephews Taylor and Kendall Goff and seven great step grandchildren.
Glen was loved by many more family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Dick Taylor, Marvin Robbins, Vince Gassman and John Benardo.
Visitation will be prior to the funeral service from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm Wednesday at Edwards Funeral Home.
