Helen Marie (Wilson) Crane, JOHNSON CITY

Helen passed away on Sat, Apr 5, 2014, losing her 1-1/2 year battle with lung cancer.
Born on Oct 22, 1935 in Mobile, AL, she resided 32 years in Whispering Pines, Johnson City, TN, where she retired from General Shale Brick, spent 6+ years supporting her daughters as an avid band booster for the UCHS marching band, and enjoyed 10 years houseboating on Watauga Lake at Lakeshore Marina G-Dock. She has lived in Orange Beach, AL, for the past 15 years with her beloved husband of 54 years, Morris “Duke” E. Crane Jr.
Preceded in death by her father Swade Wilson; mother Anna (Garvey); sister Gloria (Lowry) and four brothers Edward Dean, Bruce, Lester and Swade Jr.  Survived by her brother Rev. Dexter Wilson; husband Morris “Duke”; daughters Debra (Ted Pedulla) & Danna (David Borders); two granddaughters Kathryn (Pedulla) & Bailey (Borders) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service to be held at 3 p.m. on Sat, Apr 12, 2014, at Pine Rest Funeral Home, Foley, AL. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society in her memory are greatly appreciated.
