Margaret Ritchie Ingram, 65, Elizabethton passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was a Carter County native. Margaret was a 1967 graduate of Elizabethton High School and attended East Tennessee State University. She was a former employee of North American Rayon Corporation and retired from Elizabethton High School as a Teacher’s Assistant.
She was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church and attended Big Spring Church of Christ.
Margaret was preceded in death by her father: Golman Buck Ritchie; and her husband, Gary William Ingram; who died November 26, 2012.
Survivors include a son: Craig Ingram, of the home; A daughter: Mindy Ingram Buckles, Elizabethton; Her Mother: Inge Simon Ritchie, Elizabethton; Five Grandchildren, Morgan Depew, Kaylee Ingram, Maely Ingram, Brennan Buckles and Hailey Buckles; A Brother: Ronald Ritchie, Elizabethton; One Niece: Jacqueline Startt; Her Cousins: Margaret Bruesche, Evelyn Fry, Bill Fry and Mary Elizabeth King; Her special friends: Roxie Bridgeman, Hope Bridgeman, Brooke and Parker Hughes, LaVerne and Lynn Ann Banner, Linda Duvall, Jonathan Banner, Karen Crowe and Sharon Skeens.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2014, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Hendrich and Rev. Bob Polk officiating.
Graveside Service and Interment will be at 12 Noon Tuesday, April 1, 2014, in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, will be: Mike Cole, Terry Shipley, Norman Markland, LaVerne Banner, Tim Mink, Fred Julian, Kevin Crowe and Jay Hardin. Honorary pallbearers will be: Will Andrews, Michael Banner and members of the Elizabethton High School Class of 1967.
The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Staff and Employees of Amedisys Hospice, Staff and Employees of Aide and Assistants, Volunteers of the Meals-on-Wheels, the Ladies Sunshine Circle of Big Spring Church of Christ, The WMU of the Oak Street Baptist Church and Employees of the Carter County Rescue Squad.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday to go to the cemetery.
