Annie Heaton, JOHNSON CITY

Annie Belle Heaton, 89, Our loving mother, went home to her Lord, March 25, 2014.
She retired from the VA hospital after more than two decades. She had also worked at Johnson City Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Church of God for the majority of her life.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Staton; and three brothers, Frank, Reuben and Homer (Hoop).
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Whitehead and Kathrine Shipley; and her son, Bryan Truitt. She also has four grandchildren, Joe, Becky and Randy Whitehead and Morgan Shipley. She has one great-grandchild, Avery Stephens.
In lieu of flowers her family requests gifts be made in her name to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923.
The family will receive friends in the home, 428 Hamilton Street, on Sunday, March 30th, from 4-7. There will not be services at this time due to Annie’s wish of being an anatomical gifter to East Tennessee State University.
