Michael Cole, PINEY FLATS

Michael Aaron Cole, 63, Piney Flats, passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at NHC Healthcare, Johnson City.
A native of Piney Flats, he was the son of the late Edwin O. and Mary Cole. Mr. Cole attended Piney Flats United Methodist Church. He was a Master Mason and worked as a chemical operator for Eastman Chemical Company.
Mr. Cole enjoyed hunting, fishing and his dog, Rose.
Those left to cherish his memory include a son, Lesley A. Cole, Bluff City; a brother, Edwin “Jerry” Cole and wife, Frances, of Piney Flats; an aunt, Brenda Sluss, of Nashville; a nephew, Wesley J. Cole, of Piney Flats; a niece, Misty Cross, of Piney Flats; a great niece, Madison Cross, of Piney Flats; a great nephew, Hunter Baird, of Piney Flats; special great nephew, Ethen Baird, of Piney Flats; several cousins; and special friends, Ray Byrd and Teddy Johnson.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff of floor 5500 at Johnson City Medical Center, and a special thank you to the staff at NHC Healthcare and Caris Hospice.

The family will greet guests to share memories on Friday, March 28, 2014, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Tetrick Funeral & Cremation Services, Johnson City.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Shell Cemetery, Piney Flats. Reverend Scott Brady will conduct the service. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Byrd, Teddy Johnson, Wesley Cole, Bob Roark, Bob Perkey and Don Widner.
