Houston Ball II, KNOXVILLE

Houston Edward Ball II, age 71, of Knoxville, left us on Wednesday March 5th, 2014, while watching his beloved Lady Vols play softball.
He was a former owner of Palm Distributing in Fort Myers, Florida, and prior to that was an area vice president for Coors Brewing Company and the Stroh’s Distributor for Knoxville at Raymond’s Distributing Company, and in his spare time loved to travel and his ambition was to be a food critic. It was not uncommon for him to drive hundreds of miles to try out a restaurant that he heard about from a friend.
Houston was an avid sports fan, especially the Tennessee Volunteers and the Atlanta Braves.
Houston was preceded in death by: parents, George and Lorraine Ball; brother Kenny Ball.
Survivors include: children, Houston Ball III; grandson, Axel Ball; granddaughter, Hannah Ball; favorite ex-wife, Ann Ball; brother, George Ball Jr.; sisters, Jennie Brown, Lynn Townsend and Elaine England; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 9th, from 11-1 PM at Berry Funeral Home with the Celebration of Life to follow at 1:00 PM.
Family and friends will meet on Monday at 11:00 AM at Fairview Cemetery in Jonesborough, TN, for the interment service.
