Charlotte Ella Newtwon, MELBOURNE, Fla.

MELBOURNE, Fla. — Charlotte Ella Newton, 88, Melbourne, Florida, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, in the Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late C.M. Newton Sr. and Evelyn Greenway Newton. She was a graduate of Elizabethton High School and attended Milligan College.
Charlotte retired after 37 years of service from the Accounting Department of TVA. She had lived in Florida for a number of years. She was a member of the Borderview Christian Church, Elizabethton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother; C.M. “Fig” Newton.
Survivors include a sister & brother-in-law: Joan & Howard Bowers, Melbourne, Florida; and several cousins.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014, in Roselawn Memorial Park with Mr. Scott Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow the service.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
