Helen Y. Reeves Honeycutt, age 85, of Erwin, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
She was a native of Greene County and a daughter of the late Orba and Essie Jennings Reeves. She was a faithful and hardworking member of Rock Creek Presbyterian Church since 1958. She worked for the former SH Kress of Johnson City, was a manager of Draper and Darwin Stores of Erwin, and worked for Roller Pharmacy.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Honeycutt was preceded in death by her husband, Luther E. Honeycutt and one sister, Velma Estep.
Helen has left to cherish her memories: Daughter: Patty Johnson and husband, Jim of Erwin; Grandson: Matthew Johnson and fianceé, Autumn Bradford of Erwin; Brother: Don Reeves and wife, Jennie Lee of Jonesborough; Sister-in-law: Evelyn Peake of Erwin; Brother-in-law: Carson Estep of Johnson City; Special Close Friend: Betty Higginbotham of Johnson City; Special Friend and Her Pastor: Joan Gandy of Erwin; Several Neices and Nephews.
The family would like to express sincere thanks to NHC Healthcare, Unicoi County Memorial Hospital, Johnson City Medical Center, and to her friends at Sunnycrest Apartments for all of their love and support.
A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 6:00 PM and continue until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Rock Creek Presbyterian Church, 800 Rock Creek Road, Erwin, TN 37650.
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at a memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Helen Honeycutt to be at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Rock Creek Presbyterian Church. Reverend Joan Gandy will officiate.
