Ted Loveless, JOHNSON CITY

Ted L. Loveless, age 77, of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 13, 2014, from Franklin Woods Community Hospital.
Mr. Loveless was born in Johnson City to the late Hacker and Ada Bowers Loveless. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Shell Loveless; and a step-son, Michael Joseph Stover; two sisters, Buanna Greenlee and Lillian Hopkins.
Mr. Loveless worked as an Independent Insurance Agent. He was a member of Lone Oak Christian Church, where he was very active in singing in the choir, Communion Meditation and Life Groups. He also enjoyed songwriting, storytelling and writing poetry.
Survivors include his daughter, Tina Cook and husband, Rev. Cliff Cook, of Kingsport; step-son, Mark William Stover and wife, Caryn, of Weaverville, NC; grandson, Garrett Michael Stover; sisters, Yvonne Singleton and husband, Bob, of Johnson City, and Charlotte Bradley and husband, Bob, of Richmond, IN. Two nephews also survive.
A celebration of Mr. Loveless’ life will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2014, in the Chapel of Peace, Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. Dave Roberts, Minister, and Mr. Tad Johnson, Minister, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 PM prior to the funeral service on Saturday. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Lone Oak Christian Church.
