Essie Mae Vanover, ERWIN

Essie Mae Vanover, age 82, of Erwin, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014, at the Christian Care Center of Johnson City.
Born in Sioux, North Carolina, on July 4, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Reverend Moss and Lora Tolley Holloway. She was a member of the Erwin Pentecostal Holiness Church. She retired from Texas Instruments as a group leader in 1991.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Vanover, in 2002; and a son, Gary Vanover, in 1969.
Mrs. Vanover has left behind to cherish her memories: Daughter: Diane Nelson and her husband, Charlie, of Gray; Son: Randy Vanover and his wife, Kay, of Limestone; Grandchildren: Stacey Yates, of Cunming, GA, Brian Cook, of Unicoi, Melissa Bennett, of Erwin; Great Grandchildren: Brooke Yates and Hannah Redshaw; Sister: Molly Street, of Erwin; and several Nieces and Nephews.
The family requests the honor of your presence as we honor and remember the life of Essie Mae Vanover in a funeral service to be held at 1:00 PM Monday, February 10, 2014, in the in the chapel of Valley Funeral Home with Rev. James Dunn, Rev. James Hughes and Rev. Earl Ragland officiating. Vocal Selections will be provided by Rev. James Hughes.
Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rabb Adkins, Roger Harris, Kyle Holloway, Darrell Holloway and Allen Holloway.
A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 11:00 AM and continue until service time on Monday, February 10, 2014, in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home.
