Calvin Ray Wilson, ERWIN

Calvin Ray Wilson, age 78, of Erwin, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014, in the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital.
Calvin was a native of Erwin and a son of the late Richmond C. and Julie Tittle Wilson. He retired from Nuclear Fuel Services after 23 years of service. Calvin loved going to Church and being a Christian and his desire was to see his whole family saved.
In addition to his parents, Calvin is preceded in death by his first wife of 55 years in 2001: Patricia L. Wilson; Sisters: Beulah Whitney, Hazel Stockton and Thelma Garland; Brothers: Harold, Fred Don, William Merle and Floyd A. Wilson.
Calvin Ray Wilson has left behind to cherish his memories, wife: Tammie Wilson; Daughters: Carolyn McBee, of Erwin, Karen Tipton, of Erwin; Sons: Carl Wilson, of Erwin, Donald Wilson, of Johnson City, Mark Wilson, of Florida; Two Step Children: Regina Bunn, of Spruce Pine, David McClellan, of Spruce Pine; Seven Grandchildren; Two Step-Grandchildren; Five Great-Grandchildren; Brother: Alvin Faye Wilson, of Erwin; Father-in-law & Mother-in-law: Cecil Wesley and Lorraine Bailey, of Erwin; Sister-in-law: Bobbie Buchanan, of North Carolina.
The family requests the honor of your presence as we honor and remember the life of Calvin Ray Wilson in a funeral service at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 9, 2014, in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Reed Bagby, Reverend Kevin Laws and Reverend Gordon Lewis will officiate.
A Committal will follow in the Mausoleum Chapel of Evergreen Cemetery.
A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 1:00 PM and continue until the service time of 3:00 PM on Sunday.
