Connie Jo Blankenship Hood, 60, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014.
She was a born in Washington County, a daughter of the late Luther and Maxine McCurry Blankenship.
She was a graduate of Science Hill High School and East Tennessee State University with a degree in nursing. She had formerly worked at the VA Hospital and Johnson City Medical Center.
Survivors include a daughter: Jennifer Buck and fiancé, Troy Potter, Johnson City; A Son: Michael Tolley, Johnson City; Four Grandchildren: Sarah Arnett, Brianna Buck, Miranda Buck and Ethon Tolley; A Sister: Saundra Slagle and husband, Pete, Elizabethton; Three Brothers: Larry Blankenship and wife, Judy, Elizabethton, Ronald Blankenship, Jonesborough, and Jeff Blankenship and wife, Lisa, of Arizona. Several nieces & nephews.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014, in Memorial Funeral Chapel. Music will be provided by Debbie and Shaunda Posoadas.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family and the home of Linda Light, 1257 Milligan Highway, Johnson City.
