Bill D. Buckles, VIENNA, W. Va.

VIENNA , W.Va. — Bill D. Buckles, 80, of Vienna, WV died Saturday, December 14, 2013 at his residence.
A native of Piney Flats, he was a son of the late Emmett Clark and Oda Lite (Dempsey) Buckles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanore “Sudie” June (Edens) Buckles on October 10, 2001; and a sister, Verna Riffey.
He retired from DuPont after thirty-five years and was a United States Army veteran having served overseas. Mr. Buckles was a born again Christian and a member of Bunker Hill Christian Church.
He is survived by three children, Tracy Mitchell and Clark Buckles (Jacinda) of Vienna, WV; and Patricia “Patsy” Martin (Tim) of Mineral Wells, WV; six grandchildren, Douglas and James Mitchell, Jacqueline and William Buckles, and Kagen and Karlie Martin; six brothers and sisters, Lewis Buckles (Delores) of Piney Flats, Jewel Buchanan of Bristol, TN; Shirley Reedy (Lynn), Jim Buckles (Judy), Jean Owens (Bob), all of Bluff City, and Linda Uzzell (Don) of Alpharetta, GA; and many nieces and nephews.
The family respectfully requests your presence at a memorial service to celebrate the lives of Bill D. Buckles and his wife, Eleanore “Sudie” June (Edens) Buckles (the daughter of the late John Burley and Mildred Kathrin Edens Bogardus) at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Tetrick Funeral Home, Bluff City Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM prior to the memorial service in the chapel. The graveside service and inurnment will follow the memorial service at Morrell Cemetery.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to The Hospice House in Bristol, 280 Steeles Road, Bristol, TN 37620 in memory of Bill D. and Eleanore “Sudie” June Edens Buckles.
