Alma Black, ERWIN

Alma Lee Black, age 91, of 1631 Zane Milton Dr., Erwin, TN, Governor’s Bend, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
A native of Sullivan County, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Pauline Snapp King. Mrs. Black was a member of Austin Springs Methodist Church. She worked for 27 years at Smith-Higgins Company and for 7 years at Pet Dairy in Johnson City. Mrs. Black spent her last days at Governor’s Bend in Erwin, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Black was preceded in death by her brother, Lowell King.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jo Rachel and Michael Craft, Gainsville, GA; two grandsons, Eric Craft and wife Brooke, Bethlehem, GA, Adam Craft and wife Erica, Cumming, GA; great grandchildren, Cody and Caleb Craft, Jake and Raghan Craft.
The funeral service for Mrs. Black will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, December 26, 2013 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Garland officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 until 1:30 P.M. in the East Chapel of the funeral home.
The graveside service and interment for Mrs. Black will follow at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
