Bob Treadway, JOHNSON CITY

Mr. Bob J. Treadway, age 78, of Johnson City, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, December 19, 2013, from the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mr. Treadway was born in Washington County, Tennessee, to the late Anderson Eugene and Bertha McCracken Treadway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Eugene Treadway; a daughter, Cynthia Elizabeth Treadway; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Reverend Raymond & Adalene Geisler.
Mr. Treadway worked as a banking broker, having retired from Elizabethton Federal Bank. He also worked as a real estate appraiser and was co-owner of Action Realty and Insurance. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Johnson City.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Geisler Treadway, of the home; two sons, Robin and wife, Mary Beth Treadway, of Nashville, and Scott Treadway, of Flat Rock, NC; grandchildren, Elizabeth Treadway, Los Angeles, CA, Tucker Treadway, Nashville, TN, and Ava Marie Treadway, Flat Rock, NC. Several nieces and one nephew also survive.
The family respectfully requests your presence at a funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Mr. Treadway on Monday, December 23, 2013, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Jane Taylor and the Rev. Dr. Garland Thayer officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Monday.
Active pallbearers will be Jim Barnes, David Arnold, Jim Angel, Bob Evans, Tom Geisler, Kent Roller and Raymond Geisler Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be the Friendship Sunday School Class of First United Methodist Church of Johnson City, Coolidge Johnson, and fellow coworkers of Elizabethton Federal and Action Realty and Insurance.
