Betty June Gillette, JONESBOROUGH

Betty June Gillette, age 77, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Gillette was a native of Washington County and daughter of George Mason and Gladys Tipton Barnett. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, J.D. Gillette; sister, Joanne Jones; brothers, Donald Barnett, J.D. Barnett and Roger Barnett.
Mrs. Gillette was a member of Skyline Heights Baptist Church, Johnson City, TN.
Mrs. Gillette retired from Leon-Ferenback.
Survivors include daughters, Anita Shipley (Donnie), of Jonesborough, TN, Cathy Modesette (Rev. Les), of Houston, TX; sons, David Gillette (Mary), of Jonesborough, TN, Dennis Gillette (Patricia), of Johnson City, TN, Dale Gillette, of Elizabethton, TN, and Donald Gillette (Margaret), of Dallas, TX; brother, Jimmy Barnett, of Jonesborough, TN; sisters, Carolyn G’Fellers, of Johnson City, TN, and Jean Cooter, of Johnson City, TN; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Lester Morelock and Rev. Kenneth Gaskin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM prior to the service.
Interment services will follow the service at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Jonesborough, TN. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
