Gwendolyn Molette, JOHNSON CITY

Gwendolyn L. Molette entered into rest on Thursday morning, December 5th, 2013, at her residence.
She was born in Johnson City, TN, on August 26th, 1926, to the late Alvin and Hattie Johnson. Gwendolyn attended Langston High School, where she was a member of the girls basketball team. After high school, she moved to Queens New York and became a Registered nurse. After 40 years of service, she moved back to Johnson City, to care for a family member.
Gwendolyn loved cooking, gardening spending time with her family her loyal dog, PJ, helping others in need and teaching about her family genealogy.
In addition to her late parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Willie D. Molette, Springfield Gardens, New York; brother, James W. McConnell; and sister, Martha E. McConnell.
She leaves to mourn in her passing one nephew, Jerry W. McConnell, Johnson City; Great Nephew, Marque McConnell Diamondcrest (Rachel), Johnson City; 8 great great nieces and nephews; along with a host of loving cousins and friends.
The family will have a private memorial service.
