Joan Malone, WATAUGA

Joan Joyce Malone, 72, Watauga, went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at her residence after a long battle with Cancer.
She was a daughter of the late John Henry and Rose Waldron Repass. She was born in Lebanon, Virginia, but had lived most of her life in Carter County. She worked most of her life in Manufacturing. She loved life and loved her Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wifford Malone; and her brother: Jack Repass.
Survivors include her son: Johnny Mitchell Malone, Bluff City; Her Daughter: Tonia Rose Taylor and her husband, Randy Burton Taylor; Grandson: Brodey Dillon Taylor; Granddaughter: Brittany Nicole Taylor, of Elizabethton; A Step-Grandson: Coty Allen Taylor and wife, Ashley; Step Great Granddaughter: Breeanna, Catlin & Zoey; A Step Great Grandson: Maddox; A Step Granddaughter: Sarah Greenwell & Husband, Michael; Step Great Granddaughter; Micah; Her Brother: Bob Repass, Kingston, North Carolina, Larry Repass, Montgomery, Alabama; Her Sisters: Lettie Moran, Virginia Crumley, of Bluff City, Ellen Sprugeon, Piney Flats, June Wolfe, Sebring, Florida, Vickie Chapman, Ocean Springs, Mississippi; Several nieces, nephews and family members.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2013, in the Morning View Cemetery, Bluff City. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 2:50 p.m. Friday, will be: Johnny Mitchell Malone, Brodey Dillion Taylor, Michael Greenwell, Coty Allen Taylor, Randy Burton Taylor and Jesse Teel.
The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words, thoughts and prayers.
In lieu of flowers it was her request to make donations to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, Tenn. 38101-9908.
Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 2:50 p.m. Friday.
