Homer Garfield Dugger, ELIZABETHTON

Homer Garfield Dugger, 74, Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013, in the Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Arthur & Blanche Finney Dugger. He was retired as a Security Guard from Beacham Laboratories. He was a member of the Braemar Baptist Church, Hampton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers: Roy, Lloyd, Earl, Ed and Lee Dugger; one Sister: Lou Ella Jones; and a grandson, Corey Dugger.
Survivors include his wife: Phyllis Jordan Dugger; Four Sons: Johnny Homer Dugger and wife, Jennifer, Gray, Larry Dewayne Dugger, Morristown, Michael Lynn Dugger and Gregory Kim Dugger, both of Johnson City; One Step-Daughter: Tina Hopson, Johnson City; 10 Grandchildren; 2 Great Granddaughters; One Brother: Clyde Dugger, Elizabethton; Two Sisters: Betty Jo Montgomery, Hampton, and Peggy Brown, Kingsport; His special Nieces & Nephew: Mary Jo Julian, JoAnn Smith, Lorie Lowe and Keith Brown.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Carter and Rev. David Montgomery officiating.
Graveside Service and Interment will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013, in the Whitehead Cemetery, Butler. Music will be provided by his Nephews. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Saturday, will be: Greg Dugger, Mike Dugger, Larry Dugger, Danny Hopson, Cliff Henderson, Daniel Brown, Brandon Dugger, Keith Blevins, Gary Austin and Kenneth Lowe.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a sister: Betty Jo Montgomery, Hampton. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Saturday to go to the cemetery.
