Charlotte Britt, JOHNSON CITY

Charlotte Rebecca Britt, 81, 615 N. North St., Johnson City, died Thursday, December 5, 2013, at the Life Care Center of Elizabethton following a brief illness.
Mrs. Britt was a native of Johnson City, where she lived most of her life.
She was the daughter of the late Sherman and Grace White Copas.
Mrs. Britt was a homemaker.
She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
Mrs. Britt formerly resided in Chicago for fourteen years, where she taught Sunday school for ten years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Manuel Britt.
Mrs. Britt is survived by her husband of sixty years, Chester Britt; two children, Marty Britt and wife, Betty, Mosheim, and Trinna Foster, Johnson City; one brother, Leonard Copas and wife, Judy, Mississippi; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted Sunday, December 8, 2013, at 3:00 P.M. from the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Deaton officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Jonesborough. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday prior to the service from 1:00-3:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home.
