Mrs. Wanda Ruth Turner, 69, of Johnson City, entered into rest Saturday November 30, 2013.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, the Late Marcum and Phadelma Turner; Brothers, Remus (Nell) Turner, Garrett Turner, Edward Turner, Donald Turner and A.J. Turner; Sisters, Louise Brooks, Janie Turner, Ann (William P.J.) Sanders.
Survivors include her husband, George Robert Turner Jr.; Children, Carol (Leon) Stephens, of Johnson City, Donna (Thomas) Strawbridge, of Harrisburg, PA, Grace (Kevin) Krause, of Johnson City, Rebecca (Johnathan) Bailey, of Johnson City, Tonya (Tony) Rawlinson, of South Carolina, Jerry (Pam) White, of Piney Flats, Robert (Crystal) White, of Kingsport, Mike (Stephanie) Turner, of South Carolina, Jeff (Christy) White, of Jonesborough, George (Tracey) White, of Gray, Robert (Paige) Turner, of Kingsport, and Shawn White of Johnson City; Adopted Sons, Donald Krause, Trey Mims and Herbie Pirtle, of Johnson City; Sisters, Juanita Watson, Oletta (Willie J) Scott, and Angie (William) Robinson, of Harrisburg, PA; Sisters-in-Law, Betty Lou Turner, Gladys (Buster) Stacey, Sarah Long and Wilma Bright; Aunts, Arkie (Johnny) Sayers and Lorraine (Monroe) Powers, of Rogersville, TN; 38 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the Entire staff of Amedisys Hospice for a Job well done.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 6th, at 7 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 522 West Main St. in Johnson City.
The family will receive friends at the church from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday December 7th, at Washington County Memory Gardens.
