Harold Carter, GRAY

Harold Edward Carter, 70, Gray, passed away at his residence Sunday, December 1, 2013.
A native of Greeneville, TN and resident of Gray for 42 years, he was the son of the late Henry and Aldena Walker Carter. He was retired from Diamond Medical Courier. Mr. Carter was very outgoing and a people oriented person. He enjoyed sports, especially UT Football and Lady Vols Basketball, listening to bluegrass and gospel music.
Harold loved spending time with his family, friends and his cat, Morris. He also had many hobbies, including photography, gardening, cooking and computers. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his father and mother in-law, Grayson and Mary Ruth Williams and a brother in-law, Edward Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lynn Williams Carter, Gray; a brother, David Carter and wife, Barbara of Colonial Heights; a nephew, Todd Carter and wife Vicki of Kingsport; a great niece, Kara Carter of Kingsport; special neighbors, Ted and Sharon Graham of Gray; and a step-mother, Stella Carter of Kingsport.
Services for Mr. Carter will be held at a later date.
