Sandie Louise Markland Campbell, 69, Elizabethton went to be with the Lord Monday, December 2, 2013 at her residence.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Orville and Temperance Hyder Markland. She was a waitress at Hook’s Restaurant for a number of years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, she loved to watch Law and Order, swinging on the front porch and going to yard sales. She loved life and everyone around her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister: Jane Cable, Two Grandchildren: Charles Presnell, Jr., Zachary Campbell and her special friends: Eckie Greenwell and Jack Bishop.
Survivors include her children: Terry & Debbie Freeman, Cathy & Rob Stines, Teresa & Mitch Parlier, Kim Campbell and Scott Rasnick. Her Grandchildren: Josh Presnell, Samantha Parlier, Brandon Davis, Hunter Rasnick and John Ross Rasnick. Her Great Grandchildren: Alexis “Lexi” Parlier and Ethan Presnell. Her Brothers: Tom Markland and wife Zelma, Rick Markland and Raymond Markland & Wife Donna. Her Sisters: Goldie Lawson and husband Don and Sue Russell and husband Tommy. Her special Friends: Bonnie Clawson, Hallie Campbell and Dave Hyder. The fathers of her children: C.J. Campbell and Jerry Freeman.
A Service to Celebrate the life of Sandie Campbell will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Greg Wagner officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2013 in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Teasha Patterson, Karen Fitzpatrick, Bill Bradford, Steve Edens and residents of Courtyard Apts.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a daughter & son-in-law: Teresa & Mitch Parlier, 311 McQueen Street, Elizabethton.
