Wayne Jones, HAMPTON

Mr. Wayne F. Jones, age 71 of Hampton, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Jones was born in Erie County, Pennsylvania, grew up in Erwin and lived most of his life in Hampton. He was the son of the late Herman and Nellie Burrows Jones. He retired as proprietor of Wayne Jones Paint Contracting after forty years. He was a faithful attendee and choir leader of Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife: Roberta Street Jones: Daughter, Rhonda Kostovick and her husband John; Son: Shane Jones and his wife Lisa: Daughter: Charmaine Kromer and her husband Mike: Son Brett Jones and his wife Nikki; Nine Grandchildren: Sara Silvestri, Derek Kostovick, Amber Jones, Eric Jones, Ashley Jones, Kelsey Jones, Kendra Jones, Gage Kromer and Madison Kromer; One Great Grandchild: Eli Silvestri; Eight Sisters: Deanna Clouse, Sue Foster, Dorothy Arnett, Gail Smith, Sandy Tate, Lila Tittle, Faye Masters and Ruth Jackson and special cousin: Patty Bryant.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2013 in Memorial Funeral Chapel 212 N. Main Street, Elizabethton. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Services will be conducted by Pastors Terry Jones and Richard Blevins.
Graveside Service and Interment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church members: Phillip Messer, Gerald Roark, Jerome Street, George Collins, Jason Honeycutt and Frank Bowers. Honorary pallbearers will be all other men of Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church, and Dr. James Shipley.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to either the Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund or ARM Ministries of Elizabethton. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday. Condolences may be e-mailed to
