Thomas Allan Edds, 59, of Jonesborough, TN, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at St. Vincent Medical Center in Little Rock, AR, of complications awaiting surgery for mitral valve prolapse.
He was born in Kankakee, IL, on August 15, 1954, the middle child of Reverend William Harold Edds and Ann Fisher Edds, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, JoAnn Schafer Edds, of Jonesborough; his son, Andrew William Edds, and grandson, Finley William Edds, of Bethel, CT; daughter, Emily Edds Lincoln and her husband, Jerrold Warren Lincoln, of Cedar Hill, TX.
Tom was a gentle mountain of a man and very gifted Design Engineer, holding over 16 patents in various engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical, electronic, gas and hydraulics.
He was currently employed as engineering manager at Fabrication Services Inc. in Little Rock, AR.
Tom felt he was in a good place in his life, loved by his wife, family and friends. Proud of his children and grandchild, professionally fulfilled and at peace in his soul. Words cannot express how much he will be missed. He is currently seeking the perfect classic Pontiac Firebird on the other side.
