Anna Jackson, ERWIN

Anna K. Jackson, age 97, 1120 Brinkley Road, Erwin passed away Sunday, November 17th, 2013 following an extended illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Unicoi county and was a daughter of the late Wade H. and Ada Allen Kegley. Mrs. Jackson retired from Blue Ridge Pottery where she was an artisan pottery painter for 17 years. She was a member of Erwin Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil L. Jackson in 1996; one granddaughter, Andrea Jill Jackson; three sisters: Irene Willis, Elizabeth Renfro, and Mogene Estep; four brothers: Lee Kegley, Thero Kegley, Earl Kegley, and Harold Kegley.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her son Gary Jackson, wife, Lisa, Erwin; one grandson, Justin Wade Jackson; two granddaughters: Holly Nicole Jackson, and Cierra Ann Jackson; one great grandson, Jackson Thomas Ford; one brother, W.A. “Junior” Kegley, and wife, Winsie, Erwin; two sisters: Beatrice Whitson, and Marie Deyton, both of Erwin. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Mrs. Jackson will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, November, 20, 2013 at the Erwin Church of Christ. Jeff Johnson, Minister will officiate and special music will be provided by the church family. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers and the members of the Erwin Church of Christ will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Wednesday prior to the church service, between the hours of 5:00 to 7:00 pm, and other times at the residence.
Interment will be at 10:30 am Thursday, November 21, 2013 in the Roselawn Memorial Park. Those attending the committal service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:15 am.
