Ruby Helen Riffey Robbins, JOHNSON CITY

Ruby Helen Riffey Robbins, 92 passed away at her home on Friday, November 15, 2013.
She is preceded in death by her (Husband) Cecil Robbins November 13, 2006. Also, her (Parents) Martin Landon and Ora Myrtle Hall Riffey, (Brothers) Bartley Lee and Garnett, (Sisters) Hazel Tate, Maye Fleenor, Nell Roller and Ruth Thompson Smithson.
She was a lifetime resident of the Boones Creek Community. She was the sweetest wife, mother, and grandmother. She also was a homemaker who loved to cook and can vegetables. Helen celebrated 63 years of marriage with her husband Cecil before he passed away in Nov. 2006.
Helen was the last of the charter members of Boones Creek United Methodist Church having come from the former Borings Chapel Church. She loved her church and church families and her faith in her Lord Jesus Christ for a very long time until her health would not allow.
She was the secretary for the Boones Creek United Methodist Women Society for many years. She also helped in other areas of the church.
Helen leaves to cherish her memories, (Daughter and Son-In-Law) Phyllis and Harry Hitechew of Gray, TN. and (Son and Daughter-In-Law) Landon Dale and Ruthanne Range Robbins of Irmo, South Carolina, three Grandchildren whom she loved dearly; Erik L. Hitechew of Gray, TN., Kristen D. Robbins of Houston, TX. and Joshua L. Robbins of Irmo, South Carolina.
She also leaves to cherish her memories two nieces and two nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to offer heartfelt thanks to both, Caris Hospice and the staff at Franklin Woods Community Hospital for their care and support.
A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, November 18, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the North Chapel of the Morris – Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Rev. Ken Litton and Rev. John Hitechew. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm. A committal service will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
