Calloway Betty, KINGSPORT

Ms. Betty Calloway, age 88, of Kingsport, and formerly of Erwin, TN, passed away early Saturday morning surrounded by her loving family.
Ms. Calloway was born on July 26, 1925, in Unicoi County, TN the daughter of the late Solomon and Juanita Norris Pardue. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Erwin and was retired from Texas Instruments of Johnson City. Ms. Calloway was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother who enjoyed quilting and her flowers. Ms. Calloway was the last of fifteen children in her family.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Betty Ann & Bob Koontz and their children, Ginger (Ben) Wright, Ashley (Terry)Bridgeman. Her son and daughter-in-law, John & Jennifer Calloway and their children, Ronda Straley and Renee Calloway. Her son and daughter-in-law, James &Penny Calloway and their children, James (Angie) Calloway, Katrinka (Eric) Unold, J.J. (Jennifer) Brazee, and Lindsey (John) Sheffield. Sixteen great grandchildren also survive.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted on Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the East Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. David Clark & Rev. Henry Webb officiating. Burial will follow in the East Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
