Ollie Gillespie, JONESBOROUGH

Ollie Gillespie, 96, Jonesborough, passed away November 7, 2013.
Mrs. Gillespie was born February 6, 1917, in Burnsville, North Carolina, and is the daughter of the late Augusta Wilson Gay and Samuel M. Gay. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred D. Gillespie; three Sisters, Isabella Simms, Kathleen Rutledge, Helen Young; and one brother, George Hurdle Gay.
She is survived by two daughters, Frazier Lyons (Elbert), and Renea Hall; three granddaughters, Shannon Hall, Whitney Hall and Regina Berry (Troy); two Great Grandchildren, Makayla and Kellen; one Sister, Gladys Brice; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a special daughter, Karan Sue Gillespie.
She was active member of Bethel Christian Church, where she served in many capacities over the years until her health began to fail.
We would like to thank the staff of JCMC Floor 7500, Dr. Bertitti, Dr. Khan and Dr. Wiegand for providing exceptional care throughout her illness.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 11th, at Bethel Christian Church, 701 Depot St., Jonesborough, Tennessee. Rev. Vincent Dial, Pastor.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. at the church.
