Bennie Webb, PINEY FLATS

Bennie W. Webb, 84, of Piney Flats, TN, passed away and went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, from his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Webb was a native of Sullivan County and the son of the late Bruce and Pearl Lilie Webb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Carol Webb; and a son, David Lynn Webb.
Mr. Webb had worked as an electrician and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was also a member of the Zollicoffer Lodge #444.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Webb, of the home; a sister, Barbara Powell, Fayetteville, NC; a nephew, David Powell and wife, Maggie, Fayetteville, NC; two nieces, Tamara Lockner, Erwin, TN, and Jean Richards, Bluff City, TN.
A celebration of life service for Mr. Webb will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. Wayne Boswell, minister, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Saturday; or at the residence at any other time.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 10, 2013, in the Sunrise Cemetery in Bluff City. Masonic services will be accorded by the Zollicoffer Lodge #444. Active pallbearers will be Michael Grindstaff, Jason Street, Dylan Ward, Ned Burton, Glen Payne, R.C. McKinney and Jessie Sparks. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Jones, Tommy Hardin, Harold Greene, Dick Greene and Jake Greene. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at 1:00 PM at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, on Sunday, to go in procession.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Amedysis Hospice for their kindness and care given to Bennie and his family during his illness.
