Janice L. Aldridge Mitchell, JOHNSON CITY

Mrs. Janice L. Aldridge Mitchell, age 70, of Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013, in the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Mitchell was a lifelong resident of Carter County. She was the daughter of the late Robert Wayne and Helen Richards Aldridge.
Mrs. Mitchell retired from the Johnson City Medical Center after forty-five years of service. She was a member of the Limestone Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her loving husband of fifty years, J.D. Mitchell; one daughter, Tammy Mitchell; one aunt, Eva Ruth Phillips.
The funeral service for Mrs. Janice L. Aldridge Mitchell will be conducted at 8 PM Saturday, November 9, 2013, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Johnny Duncan, Rev. Curtis Hurt, Rev. Tim Roach and Rev. Tim Broyles will officiate.
The graveside committal service will be conducted at 3 PM Sunday in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Ministers, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 2:15 PM Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday prior to the service.
