Thomas Spencer “Tom” Presnell II, 48, Greene Valley Development Center, Greeneville, went home to be with Jesus Friday, November 1, 2013.
He was born in Washington County. Tom attended Harold McCormick Elementary School, The Dawn of Hope and completed school at the Greene Valley Development Center.
He was preceded in death by his father: Thomas “Buzz” Presnell; his grandparents: Frank & Marie Dugger Minnick and Tom & Mary Nave Presnell and Becky Emmert Bailey.
Survivors include his Mother: Linda Minnick Presnell, Elizabethton; His Step-Mother: Grace Jarrett Presnell, Bristol; Two Sisters: Missy & Brad Johnson and her family: Ruth Ann, Rose, Steven and Anneliese, of Johnson City, and Joye & Ryan Couts and her family: Kd Rose and Judah, all of Lebanon, Tennessee; several aunts, uncles & cousins. He also leaves behind many beloved “family” at Greene Valley Development Center.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2013, in the Highland Cemetery with Pastor Luis O’Bourke officiating. Burial will follow the service. Music will be provided by Amy Brooks. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, will be: Charles LaPorte, Stanley Taylor, Ryan Presnell, Brad Johnson and family friends. Honorary pallbearers will be: Larry Presnell, Ricky Presnell, Charles “Dude” LaPorte and Jim Vaughn.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Tom at 7 p.m. Monday in the Pine Wood Cottage at Greene Valley Development Center.
The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Tom’s family at Greene Valley Development Center for all the love that was shown to him during the years.

Friends may call at the residence of his mother, Linda Presnell, 408 Holston Avenue, Elizabethton. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 3:30 p.m. Sunday to go to the cemetery.
