Jake Bailey, ERWIN

Jake Hendricks Bailey, age 95, 119 Miller Lane, Erwin, passed away Sunday morning at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital.
He was a son of the late Clara Farnor Bailey. Mr. Bailey was a retired heavy equipment operator for Unicoi County. He was a proud veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army. Mr. Bailey loved to hunt and fish on Coffee Ridge.
Mr. Bailey is survived by a sister, Olga White, Erwin; one nephew, Roger White and wife Dianna, Johnson City.
Funeral service for Mr. Bailey will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2013, from the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor David Crutchfield will officiate.
The family will receive friends prior to the service between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
The committal service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 p.m.
