Paul F. Stover, 87, Jonesborough, passed away Monday, October 7, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born September 25, 1926 to the late Fred and Amy Stover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Gene Stover.
Paul loved singing gospel music, farming, and being surrounded by his family.
He was a member of Highland Church of Christ.
Mr. Stover retired from Green Valley Developmental Center in 1997. He was most recently employed by Morris-Baker Funeral Home.
Survivors include: his wife of 67 years, Joy Campbell Stover; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Rodney Thomas; a daughter-in-law, Jill Stover; five grandchildren, Becky Welch (Mark), Sharon Hall (Robert), Beth Bader (Ryan), Chad Thomas (Casey), Aimee Cantadore (Frankie); ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several cousins.
The family of Paul Stover will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, October 10, 2013 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Mr. Byron Paddock, Minister officiating. Pallbearers will be: Frankie Cantadore, Earl Anderson, J. D. Hensley, Chad Thomas, Robert Hall, Dean Crumley, Ryan Bader, and Mark Welch. Special music will be provided by Casey Thomas.
Graveside services for Mr. Stover will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday from the Highland Church of Christ Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM Friday to go in procession to the cemetery for those services.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Highland Church of Christ Building Fund, 485 Highland Church Road, Gray, TN 37615.
