HAMPTON — Beatrice “Bea” Buckley Simerly, 41, Hampton went home to be with her Lord, Monday , October 7, 2013 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness.
She was a Carter County native.
She was preceded in death by her father: Henry Leslie Buckley in 1982.
Bea loved to write, work in her flowers, listen and watch the humming birds, go fishing and loved the outside. She was a member of the Little Doe Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband: William Eddie Simerly. Two Sons: Manuel Simerly and his wife Brittany and Isaac Simerly all of the home. Her Mother: Wilma Potter Chappell, Roan Mountain. One Sister: Kathleen Brewer and husband Danny, Elizabethton, Three Brothers: Leslie Buckley and wife Drucilla and Jerry Buckley and wife Christine all of Roan Mountain and Earl Buckley, Nashville. Several nieces and nephews. Her special friends: Michelle Triplett, Allen & Linda Hamilton, Hazel Chambers and all her brothers and sisters in Christ.
A Service to Celebrate the Life of Beatrice “Bea” Simerly will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Holtsclaw officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2013 in the Simerly Cemetery, Hampton. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 10:20 a.m. Friday will be: Danny Brewer, Chris McFalls, Jackie Triplett, James Garland, Adam Atlasy, Derrick Hughes and Adam Triplett. Honorary Pallbearers will be her church family, Ed Simerly and Cody Baird.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:20 a.m. Friday. Condolences may be e-mailed to email@example.com.
