Mary Lee Glover Crussell, age 94, of Piney Flats, Tn., went to be with the Lord Friday October 4, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born March 7, 1919, in Piney Flats, TN, a daughter to the late Roy Lee and Mary Jeter Glover.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey H. Crussell; and sister, Anna Jane Torbett.
Mary Lee was a homemaker and retired from the Sullivan County School Food services.
She was a member of Enterprise United Methodist Church and was a dedicated member of the Enterprise United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Buffalo Ruritan Club.
Survivors include: Daughters: Sharon Pierce and husband, Mike, of Lexington, NC, Susan Barker and husband, Don, of Bristol, VA, and Sandra Treadway and husband, Bob, of Piney Flats, TN; Three Grandchildren: Marcie Pierce Cook and husband, Keith, Scottie Crussell Pierce and Brad Barker and his wife, Mica; Four Great Grandchildren: Lana and Josh Cook, Grace Canter and Christian Keebler; Two very special nephews: Dickie Torbett and Phillip Torbett; Several other Nieces and Nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2013, in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Price officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:45 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment will be held 11 a.m. Monday in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brad Barker, Scottie Pierce, Keith Cook, Dickie Torbett, Richie Torbett, Phillip Torbett, Colby Torbett and Alex Phifer.
The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Mountain States Hospice for their care that was given to our loved one.
