Roger Lynn Smith, TELFORD

Roger Lynn Smith, 71, formerly of Greeneville, died September 28, 2013, at the home of his brother and sister-in-law in Telford. Gone home to be with his heavenly father.
Mr. Smith was of the Baptist faith.
He was retired Phillips/Magnavox after 25 years. Mr. Smith was a past member of board of directors and Little Theatre, where he also performed.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Gladys Smith; life partner of 40 years, Danny Seay; several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include: Brother and Sister-in-law, Larry and Judy Smith, of Telford; Niece: Michelle Smith Curtis and husband, Jay, of Jonesborough; Nephew: Roger Dean Smith and wife, Kim, of Erwin; Great niece, Deanna Kilian; 4 great nephews Joshua Waddell, of Jonesborough, Alex Smith, Luke Smithy, Matthew Smith, all of Erwin; several cousins.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Minister Roger Dean Smith will officiate. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 30, 2013, from 6-8 at the Jeffers Chapel in Afton. Family and Friends are to meet at the Afton Chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday to go in procession to GreenLawn.
