Samuel Powell Eanes, JONESBOROUGH

Samuel Powell Eanes, 38, 1477 Mill Springs Road, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013, in Greeneville.
He was a native of Kingsport and was a son of Maria Barnett Eanes-Broyles and the late Michael D. Eanes.
Mr. Eanes was a welder and carpenter and had worked for several contractors through the years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Mr. Eanes was well loved by his friends and family and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, J.C. and Elizabeth Barnett; and his paternal grandparents, Robert and Kathryn Eanes.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Maria Barnett Eanes-Broyles and Sammy W. Broyles, of Port Orange, Florida; a daughter, Taylor M. Eanes, a son, Parker Eanes, both of Johnson City; a sister, Karen Eanes Lewis, Charleston, SC; a brother, Michael D. Eanes Jr., of Morristown; a nephew, Michael (Buck) Eanes III; four aunts, Ann Shoun, Sheila Eanes, Ann Bradley and Pat Eanes; three uncles, Johnny and Bobby Barnett and John Eanes; his former wife and mother of his children, Natalie Eanes; his extended family, The Rose Family; also several cousins.
A Funeral Mass for Mr. Eanes will be conducted at 5:00 PM Friday, September 27, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Johnson City with Father Peter Iorio officiating.
The family will greet friends Friday at the church from 4:00 until 5:00 PM.
