Jerry W. Cash, 68, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at the Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness.
Jerry was born September 10, 1945, in Washington County, TN, to Emma Sue “Dolly” Cash and the late William Odie Cash. He was a native of Oak Grove and lived in the area all of his life.
Jerry Cash was a supervisor at Leon Ferenbach and Mor-Flo Industries. He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of the VFW and Moose Lodge.
His hobbies included hunting and farming. Jerry loved his family dearly.
In addition to his father, Jerry was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Cash.
Jerry is survived by his mother, Emma “Dolly” Cash, of the home, Gray; sister, Linda Cash of the home, Gray; brother, Charles “Toonie” Cash, of Gray; an uncle; aunts; nephews; nieces; and many cousins, friends and neighbors.
The family will receive friends Thursday, September 19, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. at Snyder’s Memorial Gardens.
A Memorial Service to honor his life will begin at 8 p.m. Evangelist Charles “Toonie” Cash will officiate.
Graveside Services will take place at Oak Grove Baptist Church on Friday, September 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. Pallbearers include: Monroe Ellis, Jack Matherly, Hugo Cordovia, Joe Morales, James Cash, Brad Street, Matt Wallace and C.L. Butler. Honorary Pallbearers include: Gary Squibb, Ralph Hensley, Charlie Norris, Ralph Friday, Joe Squibb, Don Davison, Mark Friday, Ronnie Hood, Denny Friday and Gordon Gage.
Jerry’s family sends a special “Thank You” to Dr. Chris Hemphill, Dr. Charles Famoyin, Dr. April Lambert and the special nurses and staff of Johnson City Medical Center ICU.
