Sharron Johnson, JOHNSON CITY

Sharron Boyd Johnson, 71, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013 at home with family after a long and courageous battle with multiple myeloma.
She was a native of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, and the daughter of Mary Sue Best Boyd and the late Robert Richard Boyd.
In addition to her mother, Sharron is survived by her husband: Hugh Johnson; daughters: Michelle Bales and husband Jason, Joanna Swinehart, and Aimee Johnson; grandchildren: Josie and Janie Bales, Griffin and Solomon Swinehart; sister: Sue VanHooser and husband David; special cousin: Nancy Hoyle; several other cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Sharron’s love of the Lord inspired her to work with many churches in the area, primarily with children and youth. She was a beloved woman, who lived for her family. Her welcoming and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life Service for Sharron Boyd Johnson will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend Gerald Casson officiating. The family will greet friends from 5:00 PM until the service hour at the church. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851.
