Eloise Williams Hughes, ERWIN

Eloise Williams Hughes, age 90, of Erwin, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013, at her home.
She was a native of Unicoi County and the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Anna Myrtle Atkins Williams. She had worked for Dossers, formerly of Johnson City, Baskin Robbins and Teen Town, formerly of Erwin.
Mrs. Hughes was a member of the former Business and Professional Women’s Club. Eloise was a faithful member of First Christian Church in Erwin, where she was the youth leader, sang in the choir and was a member of the Hope Circle.
She loved to garden, have yard sales and travel to various places. Eloise was an avid UT fan of the basketball and football programs.
In addition to her parents, Eloise is preceded in death by her brothers, Alvand R. Williams, Arnold Williams, Marvin Williams, Horace Williams; and sisters, Marjorie Williams, Marie Swofford, Anna Darlene Williams, Mary Virginia Williams and Talma Irene Adkins.
She leaves behind: Husband of 68 years: Buster Hughes, of Erwin; Children: Dennis Allen Hughes and wife, Joy, of Saltville, VA, Denise Ellen Hughes Ray and husband, Kenny, of Johnson City; 3 Step Grandchildren; 2 Step Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews; Cat: Tippy.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dawn Allen and Kathy Richardson.
The family will attend a private graveside memorial service at a later date.
