Sue Amos, LENOIR CITY

Ethna Sue Johnson Amos, age 98, of Lenoir City, went home to be with her Lord Saturday morning, September 14, 2013.
She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where she started the first library.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Smith Amos; son, Smith Dwight Amos Sr.; brothers, Oakley and W.B. Johnson; sisters, Lois Liles and Volena Mourfield.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Pam Amos, of Erwin; grandson, Smith Dwight Amos Jr. and wife, Susie; granddaughters: Susan Almond and Sherri Wright, all of Lenoir City; Laura Freshour and husband, T.J., of Greeneville; great-grandson, Brady Freshour, of Greeneville; great-granddaughters: Brittany Wright, Krista Amos Cornett and husband, Wesley, Kelly Archer, all of Lenoir City, and Ava Freshour, of Greeneville; sisters-in-law, Emma Lee Amos and Nell Wilkerson; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, September 15, at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City.
Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Glenn Gamble officiating.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 9:30 Monday morning and proceed to Pleasant Hill Cemetery for 10 a.m. graveside services.
