Sue Hord, 72, Johnson City, entered into rest, Sunday, September 1, 2013, at her residence.
Mrs. Hord was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City.
She was a daughter of the late Charles C. and Billie Barnes Hawkins and was also preceded in death by one brother, Buddy Hawkins.
Mrs. Hord was retired from ETSU.
She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Thomas M. Hord; two daughters, Tracey Hord, Knoxville, and Teri Garmon, Johnson City; grandchildren, Ryan Bolton, Travis Bolton, Rachael Bolton, Lindsey Garmon and Niki Garmon; nephew, Charlie Hawkins; and son-in-law, Bob Garmon.
A committal service will be held at 10:45 AM Friday, September 6, 2013, at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, Tennessee. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
