James "Earl" Walton, MOUNTAIN CITY

MOUNTAIN CITY — James (Earl) Walton, 71, of Mountain City, TN passed away August 12, 2013 at the VA Medical Center to be reunited in heaven with his soul mate/companion of 37 years, Maureen (Moe) Rodriguez.
Born Feb. 23, 1942 in Johnson County, TN, he was the son of the late James Albert and Blanch Lowe Walton. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Loretta.
He is survived by: 1 son, James Edward Walton, and fiancée, Melissa Grindstaff, of Elizabethton, TN; a stepson, John Anthony Rodriguez, of Northern California; special friends, Mike Clark and Pam Woods, of Kingsport, TN; along with uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of friends, and former wife, Judy.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be at the VA Cemetery in Johnson City, TN on August 21, 2013 at 2:30 p.m.
Cremation Society of Northeast Tennessee is in care of the family.
