Mary "Louise" Scott, JONESBOROUGH

Mary “Louise” Scott, age 88 of Jonesborough, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness.
She was a devoted Christian mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all. She was a charter member of Westside Christian Church, Jonesborough. She was also a member and Treasurer of Leesburg Ruritan Club. Louise was preceded in death by her parents C.V. and Tullia Simmons, three brothers, Cecil, Harry and Dana Simmons and one sister Ruby Simmons.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Kenneth Scott; two brothers Hugh Lee and Lowell Simmons; one sister Winona Simmons; four daughters: Patricia Miller and husband Warren, Nancy Crain and husband Ronald, Marie Carmack and husband Ross, Mary Edmisten and husband Ralph; one son Michael Scott and wife Erma; 31 grandchildren including their spouses and 32 great grandchildren also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given in memory of Louise Scott to the Building & Grounds Fund at Westside Christian Church, 1405 Persimmon Ridge Road, Jonesborough, TN 37659.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mary Louise Scott will be held Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 7:00 PM at Westside Christian Church, Jonesborough. Mr. John Wade, Minister, Mr. Charles Fitzsimmons, Minister and Mr. Steve Trinkle, Minister will officiate.
The family will receive friends, to share memories and offer support, from 3:00 PM until the service hour at the church. Friends may call at other times at the home of Kenneth and Louise Scott.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 19, 2013 at Patton Simmons Cemetery, Toll Branch Road, Johnson City. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Adam Crain, Scott and Brian Miller, Doug and Jared Edmisten and Ben and Heath Scott. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:45 AM.
