Ila Gail Rea, ERWIN

ERWIN — Ila Gail Rea, age 90, of Erwin passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at the Unicoi County Memorial Hospital.
Born April 2, 1923 in Reynoldsville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Joshua and Pearl Null Rea. Ms. Rea retired in 1985 from Fort LeBoeuf High School in Waterford, PA where she was employed as a guidance counselor. She was a member of Fishery Community Church, and outside of church, she supported missionaries throughout the U.S. and overseas.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Rea was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers-in-law; Naomi and Gerald Ingraham and Marilyn and George Menser; and a grandson, Larry Blair Rea, Jr.
Survivors include: Son and Daughter-in-Law, Larry and Donna Rea of Erwin; Granddaughter, Stephanie Rea and her husband Kurt Gorman of Murray, KY; Grandson, Stephen Charles Rea of Knoxville, TN; Great Grandchildren, Gavin Rea Gorman and Zoe Gorman Rea of Murray, Ky; Niece Marilyn “Marnie” and her husband Harold Repasky of Zelinople, PA; Nephews, Greg and his wife Cheryl Menser of Bovard, PA James Menser of Cambridge Springs, PA; One Sister-In-Law:Marlene Menser, Erie ,PA. And several great nieces and nephews.
The life of Ila Gail Rea will be remembered and honored in a funeral service at 7:00 P.M. Saturday, August 17, 2013 in the chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Rusty Wishon and Reverend Rob Moor will officiate. Vocal selections will be provided by Gil Moody.
A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will be from 5:00 P.M. until service time on Saturday at Valley Funeral Home.
A graveside committal service will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Mausoleum Chapel of Evergreen Cemetery. Those attending will meet at the Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum by 1:50 P.M. on Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Unicoi County Relay for Life, 508 Princeton Rd., Suite 102, Johnson City, TN 37601.
